According to its license plate tag, it was last driven in 1997. Also included are all the original mounting hardware. For being a fifty-year-old part, the photos will show great condition this cable assembly is in. The black plastic pull handle has a few scratches, likely from fingernails and daily use.

Two photos show in blue print, but its hard to see, and the are a bit blurry, that this part is protected by many USA foreign patents. There is some roughness directly behind the white plastic anchor at hood release. The twisted steel inner cable is free from frays or broken strands and freely moves within the outer housing. This announcement still being present speaks to the way above average condition of this part.

This remote hood release assembly was donated by a rust free, 71,000-mile 1975 Cadillac Eldorado coupe. No cracks, though. All of the mounting points and pins are present undamaged. There are no tears, breaks, splits, or cracks in the black plastic cable housing.
