1. Authenticity: Buick, Oldsmobile, and Cadillac are renowned for their classic designs and luxurious features. Using NOS parts will ensure that your vehicle maintains its original look and feel.
2. Quality: NOS parts are generally in excellent condition, as they have been stored for an extended period without being used. This can help prevent any potential issues that may arise from using used or reconditioned parts.
3. Value: If you are planning to sell the vehicle at some point, having NOS parts can increase its value, as buyers are often willing to pay a premium for authentic and well-preserved vehicles.

Cost: NOS parts can be expensive, as they are often sought after by collectors and enthusiasts. This can make the overall cost of restoring the vehicle significantly higher than if you were to use used or aftermarket parts.
2. Availability: Finding NOS parts for specific models and years can be challenging, as they are often in limited supply. This can require you to search extensively or pay a premium for hard-to-find parts.
3. Time: Restoring a classic car with NOS parts can take a significant amount of time, as you may need to search for the right parts, coordinate deliveries, and perform the necessary repairs.
Recommendation:If you are a classic car enthusiast and are committed to maintaining the originality and quality of your 1971-1978 Buick, Oldsmobile, Cadillac (GM) Toronado, Riviera, or Eldorado, using NOS hood hinge, body, and other parts can be a worthwhile investment. Consider setting a budget and prioritizing the parts that will have the most significant impact on the vehicle's appearance and performance. Ultimately, the decision to use NOS parts should be based on your personal goals and priorities as a classic car owner.
I did find in wiki parts list that for Buick it is all 71 and c body 1st type. I get a little confused in the body classifications, however, think this should include Buick riviera, Cadillac Eldorado and Oldsmobile Toronado. Priced reasonable, probably not too many new pairs around any more.
This hinge is new and has never been installed. I know there are off shore hinges available, however, these good quality, genuine Gm parts, for that particular restoration job.
Questions: e-mail with any questions and I will get back to you in a reasonable time. The hinge was never boxed, which common for time period.
Do not wait until a few hours or minutes before the offer ends, I am at computer all times. I found my information on wiki and did not find any type of notation for other cars or years. There is no guarantee that I am always right.
The paint is dull and faded will need repainted before use. I will try to describe what it is used for or fits the best of my knowledge. Storage trailer eb270909 so if the photo does not look right, or sound either ask questions do bid.
