If this chrome one were the painted Chevy part number, it would be for 1941-46 all trucks except COE and called a 'front support hood hinge' but if you are looking at this, already know fits your truck - is GMC same as. Chrome is decent, but chrome from that era was not great - this piece has some issues we point out in photos, nice overall. New old stock GM part# 2130734 we could not find in parts books, probably because it is a GMC part number and trying to figure those books out like learning foreign language. The old, original box has a date from 1949 on it and came lot of military spec GM parts we got into decades ago.

Very hard to find NOS, let alone chrome. This piece is factory chrome plated, not steel like the Chevrolet part# 3657250. Most of those guys do not even own their parts, they are relying on the parts being shipped from some third party IF have them and you know condition until it arrives at your door.
